Why Change Is a Gift We Often Resist?

Embracing Change and the Freedom to Choose

Life quietly keeps giving us signs and gentle suggestions about how we should act and the choices we should make.

All we have to do is observe, reflect, and understand the message.

But if we don't, change will happen anyway—whether we want it to or not.

And that's when things can become difficult, because life has a way of teaching us more firmly when we refuse to listen.

Every little box of surprises that life places before me keeps me moving forward. Some days I truly live; on others, I simply survive... and sometimes I make it through without a single scratch.

Scratches are part of the journey, and I don't fear them.

Still, there are moments when moving forward is harder, and all we can do is wait for the wound to heal.

The truth is, life will always surprise us because we'll never be in control of everything.

Even so, we are given something incredibly valuable: the freedom to choose.

And what a gift that is.

Without choices, there would be no growth.

No adaptation.

No transformation.

I've never been a fan of the color red.

But, for at least one day, I changed my mind and decided to wear it (as you can see in the photo).

Even so, my relationship with this color remains one of respect and admiration.

I admire its energy, its intensity on other people, and, above all, the way it stands out so beautifully in nature. ❤️🌹

Perhaps that's exactly what life does to us.

It doesn't ask us to stop being who we are.

Instead, every now and then, it quietly invites us to see things from a different perspective.

Sometimes we realize we still feel exactly the same.

Other times, we discover we've changed without even noticing.

And maybe that's the true beauty of change.

Not becoming someone else, but allowing ourselves to experience something new without fearing the loss of who we are.

Because, in the end, changing your mind doesn't mean losing your identity.

Sometimes, it simply means you've grown enough to see life through different eyes.
